Jennifer Avignon (she/her) writes poems about nature and food and feelings and God. After earning degrees from Eastern Nazarene College in psychology, creative writing, and secondary education, she got a grocery store job and began an MFA program at Seattle Pacific University.
She lives in Seattle, where she likes to test her husband’s patience by agreeing that they have too many houseplants and then buying more. When not watering houseplants, she is probably testing a new recipe, enjoying a park with friends, or knitting. After completing her MFA in poetry, she began working in public housing.
Jennifer is on the editorial board of The WEIGHT journal. Her work also appears in miniskirt magazine, Sky Island Journal, and Neologism Poetry Journal.
